The Australian Pain Management Association (APMA) is the peak consumer body representing the 3.4 million people affected by persistent pain in Australia. Our focus is to offer peer support to our community members. The lived experience is centre to how we operate. Our community shares with us the experiences they have managing their mental and physical health, navigating the healthcare system, including accessing affordable treatment.

APMA is not a clinical organisation and does not recommend or endorse any treatment or provider. APMA is treatment agnostic.

We support holistic treatments that allow our community members to live a meaningful life, in ways that are affordable and accessible to them.

We invite the development of policy, research, and investment by any decision-making powers to seek out APMA to elevate the consumer voice when making decisions that impact the treatment of persistent pain.
