The Australian Pain Management Association Ltd. (APMA) is bound by privacy laws that impose specific obligations in regard to handling personal and health information that directly or indirectly identifies a person. APMA is committed to protecting the privacy of personal and health information. This Privacy Policy supports APMA's need to collect information to provide its services while recognising the right of individuals to have their information handled in ways that they would reasonably expect and in ways that protect the privacy of their personal and health information.

Use of Personal and Health Information

We collect your personal and health information to provide you with our products and services and to contact you about matters pertaining to your membership of APMA. We treat all personal and health information we hold about you as confidential.

On any occasion where APMA requests or obtains personal information, including your name, address, email address, telephone number, or any other information from which your identity could be discerned, it will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided and ancillary purposes related to the operation of APMA.

APMA will not sell, lend, provide or give personal information collected from you on its web site to any other party without your consent unless required to do so by law.

APMA will only use and disclose health information for the primary or a directly related purpose. If we wish to use it for another purpose we will seek your consent (unless otherwise required, permitted or authorized by law).

Reasonable steps will be taken to protect personal and health information from misuse, loss, unauthorised use, modification or disclosure.

APMA will provide you with access to your own information and will correct it on your request.
