Become an APMA Champion – donate on a regular basis

If you are able to make a regular donation to APMA, we really think you are a champion!! If you are able to make a donation on a fortnightly, monthly or quarterly basis, you will be helping to provide a regular income to support APMA's work. You can set up a recurring payment through a PayPal account, credit card or bank account. Contact us to discuss how to set up your payment.

APMA has some big goals over the next few years, and growing the number of regular donors is critical. This will allow us to do more to help families living with chronic pain.

In addition to supporting our ongoing work to provide individuals and families with information and support, your commitment will get us closer to our goal of employing a volunteer coordinator who can provide much needed support to the almost 100 volunteer workers providing support to these people.

All of our Champions receive Wellbeing, our quarterly newsletter, together with certificates of appreciation and invitations to events in your local area.

Or if you would prefer, you can make a one-off donation to APMA

How will my money be used?

Your donation will help us to provide the following services to families living with chronic pain:

• Maintaining this website, a critical online source of chronic pain information for families living in Australia
• Publishing and printing Wellbeing, the quarterly newsletter of APMA
• Providing Pain Link helpline telephone and email support
• Organising and hosting educational events throughout Australia
• Representing individuals and families affected by chronic pain in various forums

Our donors have also allowed us to complete these major projects:

• Design and deliver training and resources as part of a residential training event for facilitators of pain support groups and Pain Link Guides from across Australia;
• Establish and support more than 20 face-to-face pain support groups including one for young adults and numerous facebook pages connecting people isolated and affected by severe pain;
• Taken more than 4,000 calls from people with severe pain who are in distress. This is the only helpline service in Australia which can help callers identify practical options to assist with pain management.

Future projects that are waiting for funding include:

• Establishing a volunteer coordinator who can provide much needed support who can provide much needed support to the almost 100 volunteer workers providing support to individuals and families living with chronic pain;
• Enhancing support services such as tele-group counselling and a workplace support program
• Services tailored to the needs of youth and young adults with chronic pain

All donations go directly to these services. Most of our work is done by volunteers, working in their own homes, which keeps our costs low, and ensures your donations are used to support people living with chronic pain. Your support, however big or small, is greatly appreciated.
